Janet works with children (3+), adolescents, and families experiencing anxiety, depression, and behavioral issues. She has extensive training in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Trauma Informed Child-Parent Psychotherapy (TI-CPP) to address early trauma. She has special interest, training, and experience working with children, adolescents, and families experiencing attachment disruptions. Janet also has training and experience working with LGBTQ population. Treatment approaches include parenting skills, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), psychoeducation, trauma therapies, attachment related therapies, and support and validation.
Janet Bauer received her education from Colorado State University (BA) and University of Wisconsin-Madison (MS) in Social Work. She has extensive post-graduate training focusing on assessing and treating early childhood trauma.
