Nancy is a generalist who works primarily with young adults and adults in individual therapy. She has considerable experience working with anxiety, depression, grief, PTSD, childhood abuse, trauma recovery, LGBTQ and relationship dysfunction. She works to provide a safe and comfortable environment where people are able to address their challenges and create healthy changes in a collaborative relationship by identifying their strengths, resources, and choices. Nancy works within a Cognitive Behavioral orientation and has additional expertise in EMDR, BSP (Brainspotting), problem solving, interpersonal, psychodynamic, mindfulness, and motivational interviewing.
Nancy Yaffe received her education from University of Michigan-Ann Arbor (BS-Education and MA-Education) and University of Wisconsin-Madison (MS-Counseling Psychology) with additional post-graduate training in the areas of early trauma, body trauma, attachment, and addictions.
